Rev. James L. Lowans currently serves as executive director of New Hope Academy Teen Challenge in Factoryville, PA. He is a graduate of Zion Bible College, Barrington, RI and of Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Waxahachie, TX. From 1975 until 1978, he served the Pennsylvania-Delaware District of the Assemblies of God as a licensed minister. The Penn-Del District ordained him in May of 1978. He continued to serve in various pastoral positions in Pennsylvania and suburban Chicagoland until November 1997.
From November 1997 until November of 2001, he served Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, PA in an administrative capacity as Public Relations and Development director.
Jim and his wife, the former Kathie Kasparek, have 2 daughters, Rachel and Alicia who are married, and a son, Todd, who will graduate from Valley Forge Christian College in May 2007. They are the proud grandparents of 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Savannah, Jeremiah and Malachi.
